The Terré range of Tankdrums have a 30cm diameter and are available in three different tunings. This green-finished example is tuned in the A-minor pentatonic scale; more accurately referred to as 'anhemitonic pentatonic'. As such, notes A, C, D, E, and G are provided, and the A, C, and D can be played in octaves. The beauty of this tuning, as with the tunings of tongue drums and handpans, as well as tank drums, is that it's actually impossible to play an incorrect note. This unique instrument can be played with the hands, or using special, soft beaters and the sound it produces is rhythmic, hypnotic, and calming, making it the kind of instrument used during sound, and music therapy sessions, and to aid meditation.
